Symbols of Growth
When we see growth symbols in nature or in our daily lives, they can evoke feelings of hope, motivation, and perseverance. Growth symbols have a relaxing and soothing influence on our mental health in that they act as subtle reminders that growth is a natural and ongoing process and that we, too, can grow and elove. This can be especially helpful during challenging times or when we find ourselves in a rut in our personal or professional lives.
Growth symbols have the ability to:
Provide us with a sense of purpose and direction, allowing us to discover meaning in our life
Act as powerful catalysts for positive change and personal growth
Motivate us to overcome challenges, push ourselves beyond our boundaries, and embrace new opportunities
Remind us of our potential and innate ability for personal growth
Have a calming and soothing influence on our mental health
Strengthen our self-esteem and confidence
Relieve stress, anxiety, and feelings of stagnation, providing a sense of renewal and rejuvenation.

The Dara Knot
The logo for Oak Counselling is based on a traditional Celtic knot, the Dara knot, that represents the root structure of an oak tree. The oak tree is considered sacred and powerful in Celtic culture. Resonating with the timeless traits of the great oak tree, the Dara knot symbolises tenacity, inner strength, and endurance. The Dara knot stands for strength against the challenges of life, much as the oak tree stands tall through the seasons. It is a lovely reminder of the wisdom, strength, and immortality connected with the oak and its complex root system.
